Being surrounded by colour, experimenting with it and discovering its endless shifts and nuances has always fascinated me.
Painting became my voice when words fell silent. In art, I found a source of strength, hope and joy. It has remained an essential part of my life and a place for curiosity, playfulness and longing.
Over time, this way of seeing has also shaped the space around me. Villa Mirabelle has grown from the same love of colour, atmosphere and has become a place where art and everyday life meet.
My grandfather was a glass cutter, and as a child I was surrounded by magical crystal glass, its cut prisms scattering wonderful coloured light across the room.
Colour, nature, gardens and music are the things I love to surround myself with.
And whenever I can,I escape to the water, for a paddle, a swim and a good cup of coffee.
